expand the study of the history of American art by

Research Fellowships of the
German Centre for Art History, Paris
In relation to the annual theme for 2010/2011, "Talking
images" (directed by Georges Didi-Huberman and Johannes
Grave), the German Centre for Art History in Paris will
offer several research fellowships for doctoral candidates
for the period of 12 months and one post-doctoral fellowship
for the period of 24 months (starting 1 September 2010). The
scholarships are destined for those with a university degree
(M.A and/or Ph. D.) in history of art whose areas of
expertise relate to the issues outlined here and for
candidates of comparable disciplines who are versed in art
history.
All candidates are requested to send in the standard
application documents (curriculum vitae, copies of degree
certificates, a list of publications, two reference letters
from university/college lecturers) as well as a brief
outline of their research project (max. 3 pages, plus
timetable and bibliography) by May 9th, 2010, to the
